Jobs – XML Feed Generation for Indeed Job Posting

Upon submission of the Indeed job form, Xeople Recruit users can now generate an XML feed.

Key advantages:

  • On submission of the Indeed job form, XML feed generation is triggered.
  • Feed Components: The XML feed consists of Basic Feed Nodes.
  • Upon publishing a job, a Job Node is automatically created for each specific job. The Job Node is structured into two tables: Form Fields and Hidden Fields.
    • Form Fields Table: Contains fields whose values are inserted into corresponding tags from user inputs.
    • Hidden Fields Table: Populated with tags from values available/generated by the system for the specific job.
  • All dropdown values from the Master are included in tags as text values, not IDs.
  • Expired or inactive jobs are automatically excluded from the XML feed, maintaining data accuracy. Removal occurs after a job is successfully filled.
  • Each job is uniquely identified with a reference number, ensuring precision and clarity in the XML feed.
  • Publish Job Action: Clicking on Publish Job in the Indeed Job Post Form initiates the XML feed generation.
  • In case of modifications to a job posting, the system saves an updated feed with a timestamp reflecting the last activity.
  • XML Download Option: Users have the option to download the XML file after publishing for review.
  • Temporary Download Feature: The XML download feature is temporary and will be removed after Indeed integration completion.
  • Sync Duration: The syncing process may take up to 24 hours for changes/updates to reflect on Indeed.
  • Tag Details: Each tag in the XML feed has a corresponding explanation, including Form Field Name, Type, Description, and whether it’s Optional/Mandatory.
  • Currency, Pay Type, Salary Min, and Salary Max details are consolidated into a single <salary> tag for efficient representation in the XML feed.
  • The system seamlessly integrates with Google Location services to fetch accurate State, City, and Country information for inclusion in the XML feed.
  • Tag Values: Mandatory tags must have corresponding values, while non-mandatory tags may remain empty.
  • XML Feed Review: Users can review the generated XML feed, aiding in the verification process.
  • The XML feed supports a range of HTML tags, facilitating rich formatting options for job descriptions.
